Kindness & Respect For All: A Message About Pride

We recently learned that 39% of big brands are "avoiding visible public support" of the LGBTQ+ community this year. (We're writing this in 2025.) "Thirty-nine percent say they plan to scale back [June] Pride Month engagements." (CNN.com) They "fear reprisals," citing "pressure" to not "speak out."

We're not a "big brand." 🙂

We're a tiny heart-centered business that happens to be owned and operated by an LGBTQ+ partnership.

You're not a big brand. 🙂

You're a person with heart and a love for cats that goes above and beyond. You want a world that treats cats with kindness and respect. You want to treat yourself and others that way, too.

That's what we work for.

And we do mean actual, real, work.

Not just the path of least resistance.

So, even though we aren't the outspoken type to get loud about these sorts of things...

We made some "Pride Merch"

(You don't have to be loud. Just don't be cowed.)

We're giving 5% of June profits from this Pride 🌈 Collection to the Human Rights Campaign, which works for basic respect and legal rights for the LGBTQ+ community.

Works like theirs spans multiple generations and is part of a larger cause.

Human Rights, Animal Rights, Kindness and Respect for All

Without that kind of work, we personally know we wouldn't have the freedom to pursue self-improvement, trauma healing, and a fuller life.

Unless that work continues, those freedoms will be lost.

We love and value those things.
We want more people to have access to them.
We believe the world will be better if they do.

If you share this sentiment, consider this a message of solidarity.

Spread Courage.

NOTE: The design below is from a drawing made by Siena in 2016. The middle cat is  meant to be Cumin, her soul angel cat and the original inspiration for Love & Above Cat Club.

An Update: Total profit from Pride Collection sales in June 2025 was $72.18. We sent 5.5% of that to The Human Rights Campaign. Thank you to everyone!
